Faltering but Forgiven

"the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked" (1Jn.2:6). John makes it clear that those who profess Christ don't practice sin (1Jn.1:6) but that doesn't mean they are sinless (see 1Jn.1:8). This morning things didn't exactly go my way and I found myself failing to walk in the same manner as Jesus walked. Saddened by my lapse into sin, but so grateful for the forgiveness I have in Him (1Jn.1:9).
