He is Holy

In Isaiah's vision of the Lord the angelic beings sang back and forth, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of Hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory" (Is.6:3). For His part Isaiah declared, "Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips" (vs.5). In the presence of God Isaiah was acutely aware of his own sin and the sinfulness of the nation. It strikes me that I have such a small view of God. If I knew Him as Isaiah did I would be dumbstruck by my wickedness and see my need to repent. I know that for me personally and for our society the reality of God's holiness has been eclipsed. Lord help us.
