The Father's Love

I'm struck in a fresh way with how great the Father's love is for us. That it's possible for fallen sinful, rebellious people like me to be restored into relationship with a Holy and righteous God because of His love expressed. This love expressed is experienced personally through personal faith in the reality of Jesus' death and resurrection as the payment for my sins and the victory over sin and death. "By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins" (1Jn.4:9-10). "How Great the Father's love for us; How vast beyond all measure; that He would send His only Son to make a wretch His treasure." For those of us who are wretches that He has made His treasures there is so much to be grateful for since we are saved by grace. For any who are not yet trusting in Christ's death as the payment you deserve, I can only invite you to experience personally the love the Father has expressed through the sacrifice of Christ.
